About The RoleWe are looking to recruit a team of Wool Pressers to join our wool team at Ravenhall on a casual basis. Working at our purpose-built wool selling centre, you will work closely with the wool team to efficiently press bales from the rehandle bins and ensure accurate recording of all bale information. You''ll be working in a new, state-of-the-art facility with modern equipment, technology, and full team support to set you up for success. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or anyone looking to launch a career in the Australian wool industry.ResponsibilitiesPressing wool: Operate the wool press to compress wool into standard-sized bales of consistent weight and quality.Bale management: Weigh, brand, label, and stack finished bales safely and efficiently.Record keeping: Maintain accurate records for each bale, including weight, number, and wool line.Adjust bale weights: Make adjustments to over- or under-weight bales as required.Work area maintenance: Keep the pressing area clean, tidy, and free from contamination.Equipment operation and maintenance: Operate machinery such as presses and scales, and perform basic maintenance and lubrication.Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with the rehandle team to achieve operational targets.Additional duties: Assist with other wool store tasks as required to support overall team outcomes.About YouIdeally, you have experience pressing wool, though full training will be provided.Experience in shearing sheds or a solid understanding of the wool industry is advantageous.Enjoys physical work and is self-motivated.Basic computer skills for recording and tracking bale information.A team player with a can-do attitude who is eager to learn.EldersElders is proud to be the last Australian-listed major agribusiness and the most trusted agribusiness brand in Australia.
