Assistant Accountant SG Fleet AUJoin to apply for the Assistant Accountant role at SG Fleet AU.About the RoleThis position is responsible for processing bank receipts and payments of supplier invoices, general ledger reconciliation, aftermarket sales and bank/GL account reconciliation. As well as assisting in preparation of month end finalisation and meeting KPIs on reporting packs required by the Leadership Team.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesPerform daily and month-end financial processing and reconciliations.Prepare BAS/GST returns and assist with financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders.Manage and process a variety of payments including maintenance, dealer, registration, driver and overhead expenses, ensuring accurate allocation of funds. As well as managing and processing bank receipts, client invoices and supplier invoices, including coding and settlement of supplier invoices (including Aftermarket)Perform reconciliation of debtors and creditors accounts, responding to internal and external enquiries regarding accounts (including Aftermarket)Reconcile general ledger and bank accounts, ensuring alignment with financial reports.Conduct regular accuracy and compliance checks on financial data to support reliable reporting and adherence to statutory obligations.Contribute to ad hoc financial projects, providing analytical and operational support as required.Perform trend analysis to identify financial patterns and support strategic decision-making.Skills and ExperienceBachelor of Accounting or other related / relevant fieldQualified CPA/CA or equivalent qualification (or studying towards CPA/CA Qualification)Good technical/numerical skills and knowledge and is thorough and accurateProven customer service and communication skillsAdvanced spreadsheet skillsStrong organisational and prioritisation skills meets specific deadlines and reports regularly on progressAnalyses information and solves problems, demonstrating resourcefulness, perseverance, and accountabilityKnowledge on Lease products, services, transactions is desirableWorking knowledge of Miles and Microsoft AX application or equivalent is desirableExperience in Financial Accounts is desirableAbout YouHigh integrity and strong understanding of professional ethicsEffective communicator both verbally and in writing, demonstrating good listening and probing skillsCreates teamwork, is flexible and maintains an organised, open, and approachable working styleActively creates useful internal, external, and cross-functional relationshipsAbility to develop relationships across all levels of the organisationHigh level of initiative and an ability to continually identify and address opportunities for improvementHigh level of motivation, energy, and drive to achieveWho We AreWe are a financial services company that specializes in fleet management, vehicle leasing and salary packaging, with a presence across Australia, the UK and NZ.
