So we can deliver on our pledge to donate 1% of total revenue to everyday Australians through the Lyone Foundation.About The RoleReporting to the DC Manager, the Inventory Controller position is to manage and maintain accurate records of all inventory within COS. This role ensures that inventory levels are optimised to meet operational requirements, minimise costs, and prevent stock shortages or excesses.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Control: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels and manage stock flow through the warehouse to ensure efficient use of resources and alignment with business goals and develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.Inventory Planning: Optimise planning and inventory control procedures by developing inventory benchmarks to enhance departmental performance and ensure alignment with operational strategies across safety, quality, next day delivery, and cost objectives, and investigation and development of corrective & preventative actions to improve inventory accuracy.Reporting & Analysis: Collect and analyse inventory data to identify trends and variances, and prepare regular reports and insights to support decision-making across Logistics and operations.Cycle Counts & Stocktakes: Uncover primary factors contributing to inventory discrepancies and lead efforts to ensure accurate reconciliations, plan and execute targeted cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy and minimise writeoffs, and conduct regular audits, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure system data integrity.Process Improvement & Collaboration: Identify and resolve system or process issues affecting data integrity, drive continuous improvement and optimisation of inventory systems, processes, and procedures to deliver minimal disruption by focusing on system enhancements to optimise efficiency, and generate daily reconciliations, investigate variances, and drive rootcause resolution.Health, Safety & Compliance: Championing a strong safety, compliance, and operational best practice across all inventory activities.About YouProven experience in managing inventory operations with accuracy and efficiency under highpressure, highvolume conditions, such as backtoschool seasonwhile effectively handling elevated stress.Deep knowledge of inventory control or supply chain processes.Strong data analysis and report development skills.Intermediate proficiency in MS Office and other officebased technologies.Proven ability to drive process improvement and deliver measurable results.A natural inclination for problemsolving, process improvement, and driving change.Ability to manage competing priorities in a fastpaced environment.Benefits of working with COSGenerous Reward and Recognition programsCommitment to professional development with ongoing training and career development opportunitiesAccess to free Mental Health programmesBirthday, Paid Parental Leave and Purchase Leave availableConvenient location with free onsite parkingModern onsite gymEmployee discounts on full product rangeOpportunity to participate in community welfare and charity initiativesNovated Lease / Salary Sacrifice for electric vehicles availableMore about COSWhen you join COS, you''ll be working for a growing, socially responsible organisation who provides equal employment opportunities to a talented and diverse team of passionate people, who live and breathe our 6 core values - Passionate, Results Driven, Innovative, Service Excellence, SelfReflective, and Family.
