Reporting to the Remote Services Manager, you will coordinate and deliver child health services to Aboriginal children aged 05 across Broome and surrounding communities, aligned with the KAMS Model of Care.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Providing scheduled developmental health checks and childhood immunisationsFacilitating recalls, screenings, and follow-upsProviding case management for at-risk children and coordinating specialist referralsPromoting uptake of the Kimberley Maternal & Child Health ProtocolsDelivering education, training and mentoring to staff and community membersSupporting women''s groups, parenting, and mums & bubs programsContributing to child health data collection, monitoring and reportingParticipating in planning forums and community awareness activitiesTravelling to remote communities, including Beagle Bay and Bidyadanga, as requiredRequirementsTo be considered, you must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with current AHPRA registration and hold a postgraduate qualification in Child Health. While experience in Aboriginal health or remote settings is highly regarded, we welcome applications from qualified RNs with a passion for transitioning into community-based child health.Additionally, you will need:Experience delivering child or maternal health services in a Primary Health Care settingUnderstanding of Aboriginal health issues in remote WA communitiesSkills in community-based health promotion and health educationProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and clinical databasesStrong interpersonal, communication, and cultural competency skillsA current WA Working with Children Clearance and National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)A manual WA C Class Driver''s Licence (or ability to obtain) and willingness to travel frequently by 4WD or light aircraftWhat''s in it for you?You''ll receive a base salary of $123,000 per annum, PLUS Super, along with a comprehensive range of benefits, including:Relocation assistance up to $5,000Accommodation allowance of $13,000 p.a.
