Additionally, the HSE Manager will be responsible for ensuring that current procedures within the region comply with relevant policy and legislation, assisting with the production and review of project-particular documentation.The role includes:Actively engaging with all levels of management at all stages of the construction processPromoting a culture where safety, health, and environmental considerations are integrated into everyday processesCarrying out and analyzing inspections and audits at the region''s operational sitesAssessing the competence of contractors who work for the regionEvaluating essential risk assessments and method statements in association with operations staffLiaising with enforcing authorities as requiredBeing a proactive member of the national Health and Safety team and supporting and developing the national OHSAS 18001 safety management systemCriteria:Suited to an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental professional whose career history is one of extensive practical experience in the Construction industry, possibly having originally trained as a tradesperson familiar with new house building and refurbishmentTypical qualifications expected are NEBOSH General Certificate and NEBOSH Construction Certificate complete with a form of technical recognition such as TECH IOSHEnvironmental qualification, such as IEMA Environmental Management or similar, would be preferredThis role covers multiple sites, so a valid driving license is essential, and applicants must be prepared to travelExcellent interpersonal skills, an inquisitive mind, and an enthusiastic and energetic nature are essentialHappy to commute to / work across NorfolkIf you are a HSE Manager with the right experience and you are interested in this role, please apply with an updated CV. #J-18808-Ljbffr
