Portfolio managers ensure client portfolios continually pursue the targeted premiums, provide traders with buy and sell candidate lists, outline trading parameters, and assist clients to understand Dimensional''s investment practices.Analysts are responsible for performing a series of daily tasks to ensure that our portfolio management and trading processes run smoothly. The team of Analysts work collaboratively to share tasks which include but are not limited to: analysis of corporate actions and formulation of election recommendations for Portfolio Managers, review of market news and consideration of their potential impact on securities that are held across portfolios, daily reconciliation of client portfolios ensuring that cash balances are accurate and reflect all significant transactions. The work is operational and of crucial importance in the daily investment process.Additionally, Analysts execute ad hoc requests from Portfolio Managers such as portfolio analysis, data requests, and research into relevant market and company-specific developments. An Analyst may also complete long-term projects that involve identifying possibilities for improvement in Dimensional''s portfolio implementation processes. An Analyst will regularly coordinate with portfolio managers, traders, custodian banks, and Dimensional offices across the globe.QualificationsBachelor''s degree with demonstrated academic achievementInterest in financial markets and an understanding of Dimensional''s investment philosophyMust be detail oriented, organized, highly motivated and able to work independently and in a team environmentThe ability to work to tight deadlines, to be adaptable and priorities effectively is a necessary skillAbility to absorb and apply information from formal and informal learning experiencesStrong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbalPrior exposure to programming and/or databases (Python, SQL, VBA) preferredBenefitsCBD office location with harbour viewsHybrid working model for most roles, which permits working 2 days remotely each week.
