As the Financial Accountant, you will step into a broad and hands-on role that is critical to supporting business operations, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate financial outcomes across multiple entities.The PositionReporting to the Finance Manager, you''ll be responsible for:Lead month-end processes including variance analysis, reconciliations, and cash flow management.Take ownership of the P&L, partnering with department leaders to ensure accuracy and transparency.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.Oversee invoice processing and accounts management.Prepare and lodge BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT, and other statutory obligations.Prepare statutory financial reports and act as the key contact for external auditors.Manage corporate income tax returns in collaboration with external tax consultants.Oversee payroll, superannuation, intercompany reconciliations, and fixed asset register maintenance.Supervise and mentor the Assistant Accountant to ensure timely and accurate delivery.Support project reconciliations, SG&A forecasting, treasury activities, and ad hoc finance initiatives.Collaborate with international finance teams and key business stakeholders.The CandidateYou''ll bring a strong technical foundation and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
