You''ll ensure our financial records are accurate and our compliance obligations are met, so leadership can make informed decisions with confidence.Reports to: Head of FinanceSchedule: MondayFriday, full-timeWhat You''ll OwnFinancial Processing & AccuracyReconcile daily transactions and payments across both entitiesCode invoices and bills correctly under the Chart of Accounts (labour, subcontractor, materials, etc.)Maintain clean, accurate records across all ledgers in XeroAssist with quarterly BAS preparation and ensure GST tracking is correctSupport superannuation payments and verify contribution accuracyMonthEnd ClosePayroll & ComplianceLead weekly payroll processingCrosscheck hours worked using diaries, site texts, and Excel payroll registersMaintain and update payroll records for compliance and internal reportingAssist with remittances, super, and leave trackingOperational SupportMonitor and manage the accounts inbox, routing invoices, receipts, and statements to the right foldersHelp process supplier payments and chase missing paperwork where requiredMaintain material registers and ensure orders align with job recordsProvide light scheduling and data support to help stay on top of crew movementsReporting & OversightPrepare accurate reconciliations and weekly financial summariesFlag discrepancies early and help resolve issues before they escalatedKeep all accounting data structured, compliant, and auditreadyYou''re the Right Fit If YouThrive on accuracy you take pride in maintaining precise financial recordsStay organised you manage competing priorities and deadlines efficientlyCommunicate clearly you can explain financial matters clearly to directors, contractors, and suppliersTake ownership you identify issues and resolve them without needing to be askedThink ahead you anticipate challenges and address them before they become problemsRequirementsEssential2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts, or payrollBachelor''s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related disciplineStrong working knowledge of Xero (or willingness to learn fast)High attention to detail and commitment to accuracyStrong Excel and reconciliation skillsProven reliability and ability to selfmanage workloadBonusConstruction or trades industry experienceFamiliarity with BAS, GST, and superannuation complianceUnderstanding of payroll legislation and timesheet systemsExperience with monthend processesWhy Join Us?Real Impact Your work directly drives how our business runs daytodayGrowth Potential Career pathways across multiple companies within the groupStability Fulltime role in a trusted, longstanding construction businessFamily Culture You''re valued here, loyalty and initiative are recognisedAutonomy We hire smart people and trust them to get the job doneReady to take ownership?
