We believe great systems are built by teams that trust each other, value craftsmanship, and take ownership of what they create.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Measurement Upper Funnel engineering team is based in APAC, with members in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Sydney. Our Product Manager is based in the West Coast, and we have a 30minute virtual standup every morning to sync up. We are a distributed team by design and rely heavily on asynchronous messaging and video conferencing to stay informed and connected.We have a highly productive technology team that enjoys a collaborative work environment that involves endtoend delivery of scalable technology solutions. We have a mindset of "build it, ship it, own it." Our teams are empowered to use the best tools and technologies for the job. We have a multicloud environment and are moving toward a microservices architecture. We develop clientfacing products utilising .NET/.NET Core, JavaScript (React), gRPC, REST APIs, Docker containers and Kubernetes. We developed our big data processing backend utilizing Apache Spark and Flink.RESPONSIBILITIES ENGINEERING PHILOSOPHYAct as endtoend owners, actively participating in every stage of product development from design and implementation to deployment and monitoring delivering real impact for our clients.Work across a broad and evolving technology landscape, including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitLab, Azure, AWS, and databases such as SQL Server, Vertica, and ClickHouse.Continuously explore new technologies and AIpowered tools that make us smarter and more efficient, embracing pragmatic innovation as our projects evolve.Ensure quality in everything we build through code reviews, automated testing, robust deployment pipelines, metrics, and continuous monitoring to ensure reliability and maintainability at scale.Make an impact beyond code through mentorship, teaching, leading by example, and participating in hiring and community building helping shape a team culture grounded in trust, learning, and excellence.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEProven skills and interest in programming (C#, Java, or equivalent).Proven skills in SQL for querying data from databases.Understanding of webbased and microservices architecture design.Understanding of Agile development methodology and practices.Experience with cloudbased platforms (AWS, Azure, or Aliyun).Understanding of database technologies such as rowbased vs columnbased RDBMS, document, and keyvalue stores.Familiarity with data analytics tools and frameworks such as Apache Spark or Databricks, and comfort with Pythonbased data analysis (e.g., NumPy or Pandas) is preferred.KEY ATTRIBUTESCan learn quickly and solve complex problems using the best tools for the job.Creatively thinks beyond conventional approaches, distilling facts and insights to guide work and turn data into actionable decisions.WHAT WE OFFEROpportunity to work on largescale distributed systems coordinating thousands of servers in cloud and physical data centers worldwide.Exposure to petabytescale data challenges, machine learning, advanced visualizations, and interactive user interfaces.A globally collaborative environment with brilliant and diverse teams.Continuous learning support: sponsored for further education, certifications, and inhouse learning platform.A culture of empathy, grit, collaboration, and ownership; a company that has won Great Place to Work awards across Australia, the US, UK, Europe, and Asia.Attractive compensation package, flexible work environment, and beautiful offices with perks such as snacks, catered lunches, wine, and beer.
