If you''re looking to build a meaningful career with a company that genuinely values your contribution and invests in your growth this is the place for you.WEM has a rewarding opportunity for a Civil Site Engineer to join the team.We have a strong portfolio of work with multiple projects underway across Sydney''s Northwest and Southwest, Hunter, and Illawarra regions. This role requires travel to job sites across the area, predominantly in the Northwest & Southwest region.The Site Engineer is responsible for assisting and working with the Site Team (Site Manager, Project Manager, Supervisor and Surveyor) to help achieve successful delivery of the project. The Engineer is also responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding the project, including but not limited to; clients, council, inspectors, superintendents, designers, and the general public.Key Responsibilities:Utilise your thorough understanding of drawings, specifications and quality, WHS, and environmental requirements for all site-related activities.Support the implementation of the project quality, WHS and environmental management plans on all projects.Assist with daily project monitoring for toolbox inspections, checklists, documentation, and record keeping.Assist with the monitoring and updating of the construction program and site activity.Ensure materials are procured in advance of the construction program.Assist in monitoring daily work activities to maximise the utilisation of plant and resources.Implement improvements for managing site-related costs.We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or working towards1-2+ years previous experience as an Engineer in the civil industry, ideally within residential subdivisions/bulk earthworksA current White Card & Drivers LicenceA strong commitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards and practicesExcellent relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skillsA proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to show initiative and take ownershipStrong communication and organisation skills, including strong attention to detailStrategic and analytical thinking skills with the ability to problem-solveConfidence in using technology, including CRM-based applications and proficiency across the Microsoft Office suiteRemuneration: Competitive salary aligned with your experienceWellbeing: Access to our Employee Assistance Program to support your mental health & wellbeingFinancial Incentives: Access to paid income protection insurance and earn up to $1,000 for every successful referral through our employee referral programCommunity Partnerships: Partnerships with community programs including Black Dog Institute and Sydney Children''s Hospitals Foundation with the opportunity to get involved and give back to our communityConnect & Celebrate: Frequent social and team events, and reward and recognition programs that celebrate our peopleGrowth: Endless career opportunities, mentoring & development and access to our WEM Uni Development Program as well as participation in our Leadership Development Program.Training: Regular training sessions led by industry experts focused on the latest engineering advancements as well as interpersonal skills training.Visit our website to learn more about our culture at WEM: Information:Applicants should submit a current resume and cover letterApplicants are required to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including a drug and alcohol screening, as a prerequisite for this position to ensure they can safely perform the duties of the roleApplicants must be authorised to work in Australia, and reside in the geographic area relevant to the positionWEM Civil is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
