We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Developer to join our Business Applications team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Working within a cohesive team and an established software development framework, this role is critical to the delivery of new systems and enhancements to core applications that support our 500+ staff across multiple business units and align with the broader business strategy.As a Senior Developer, you will collaborate closely with other developers, business analysts, UX/UI designers, project managers, and stakeholders across the project lifecycle. You will design, develop, implement and support software solutions.Reporting to the Development Manager, the role requires superior technical, organisational, and communication skills to thrive in our fast-paced and challenging wealth management environment.Primary responsibilities:Working closely with business units to identify requirements and translating them to software designsDesigning solutions, implementing, testing, packaging, and deploying new features and supporting existing systemsReviewing software development tools and processes, suggesting, and implementing improvementsRegular and clear status updates to Development ManagerAbout You:We are seeking a candidate with a critical and methodical approach to solving complex problems, who thrives in a dynamic work environment. Furthermore, you excel in verbal, presentation, and communication skills, allowing you to articulate ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.Required experience:Technical degree preferredBroad Finance Industry knowledge and experience - ideally in wealth management.Proven commercial experience in the use of software development processes.Knowledge and experience with agile development practices.Required knowledge & technical skills:Working on both front-end and back-end context (ie. Full Stack)Solid understanding and use of OOP, design patterns and dependency injectionStrong expertise on developing APIs using C# and .Net CoreSolid proficiency in RDBMS (both Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server - T-SQL)Strong expertise in Angular, working knowledge of AngularJS is a plusBootstrap, CSS, CSS extensions SASS and LESS, HTML5Microsoft Reporting Services SSRS, SSISResponsive Web DesignData modelling and designFair knowledge of OAuth and AAA librariesProficiency with git source control and TFSOrd Minnett offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic and reputable firm.
