The Directors are hands on in sales, preconstruction and client relationships and are now seeking a General Manager to take ownership of the operational engine of the business. The company has a clear long-term goal to become the most trusted fitout company in Australia. This is the company''s first General Manager appointment and therefore carries significant scope to help define the structure, systems and operational direction of the business.The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Directors while having full autonomy over operations, people, finance, client experience, systems and transformation across the organisation.Role ResponsibilitiesFull ownership of operations across delivery, pre construction, compliance, safety, workflow and resource planningOwnership of the end to end client experience ensuring consistency, quality and alignment with company standardsDevelopment of systems, structures, processes and business rhythms that support scalable and sustainable growthOversee all financial performance including budgets, forecasting, job costing, reporting and accountability for the overall PnLProvide strategic insights and recommendations to the Directors based on performance data and business directionLead, coach and support the team including future leadership layers as the business expandsChampion the company''s culture of trust, development, accountability and continuous improvementDrive technology adoption, automation and transformation initiatives across the businessEnsure alignment between sales pipeline, operational capacity and business planningLead all aspects of organisational structure including future team growth and capability planningRole RequirementsExtensive operational leadership experience within the construction industryExperience across fitout, commercial construction, new build or similar project environmentsStrong financial acumen including full responsibility for PnL performanceDemonstrated ability to build systems, processes, frameworks and company-wide operational disciplinesPeople focused leadership approach centred on trust, clarity, communication and developmentProven ability to drive cultural alignment and support a positive team environmentStrong communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship building capabilityTechnologically confident with an interest in automation, innovation and digital improvementComfortable leading a growing business in partnership with hands on DirectorsWhat''s in it for youStep into the inaugural General Manager role and help define the company''s next chapterWork directly with forward thinking Directors who value partnership, trust and transparencyShape the operational, cultural and strategic framework of a growing construction businessCompetitive and compelling remuneration package reflective of senior leadership impactJoin a values led organisation driven by people, excellence and long-term growthInfluence at the highest level in a role designed to create lasting organisational impact #J-18808-Ljbffr
