We focus on providing structural, regulatory, licensing, financial and support services to institutions regulated by APRA and ASIC. The role of Financial Accountant is to join a close-knit organisation that fosters a collaborative and supportive environment.ResponsibilitiesMaintenance of general ledgers across different entitiesBooking of various journal entries, including accruals and prepaymentsPreparation of balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliationsManage the settlement of various expenses, tax obligations and intercompany balancesProcessing monthly payroll and superannuation paymentsPreparation of monthly management reportsWeekly / monthly bank reconciliations across multiple entitiesFixed asset register maintenanceAssist in the preparation of Financial Statements including Balance Sheets, Income Statements and Cashflow as well as general ledger managementParticipate / support the external / internal audit processes and requirementsEstablish collaborative working relationships with other finance team members, the wider team, and external stakeholdersQualifications / Personal Attributes2 - 4 years minimum accounting experienceWorking towards CA or CPA qualificationExperience working within insurance industry will be highly advantageousExcellent communication skills both written and verbalAttention to detail and high accuracy in processingProven technical accounting knowledgeAbility to manage and meet deadlinesMotivated and self drivenClient centric attitudeProfessional and mature approach in all interactionsTeam playerPosition DetailsPosition Type: Full Time (4 days in the office/Friday WFH)Salary Range: Negotiable based on experienceSeniority level: Entry levelJob function: Accounting/Auditing and FinanceLocation: Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaNote: This description reflects the responsibilities and requirements of the role as provided; boilerplate or unrelated postings have been omitted to focus on the job-specific information. #J-18808-Ljbffr
