Senior Legal Counsel Construction/ Major Projects/ Renewable Energy - 8+ PQEOur client is a contractor that specialises in the development and maintenance of critical public and private infrastructure assets. Their services span the full asset lifecycle from design and construction to operations, maintenance, and remediation.The RoleThis role reports directly to the General Counsel and will see the successful candidate join a specialist team that delivers high-value contracts across renewable energy, gas, water, industrial maintenance, and remediation sectors throughout the ANZ region.Key responsibilities will include:Leading and project-managing tender processes for major projects (from initiation to award), collaborating closely with the commercial team.Negotiating high-value construction contracts with deal values ranging up to $2 billion.Advising on procurement strategies, including public-private partnerships (PPPs), competitive bidding, and alternative delivery models.Drafting and reviewing project-specific legal documents, such as letters of intent and framework agreements, to support efficient project mobilisation.Partnering with external counsel to advise on regulatory compliance matters, including environmental, planning, and health and safety requirements during the pre- and post-construction phase. This will involve approximately one site visit per month.Assisting in structuring transactions and supporting the negotiation and execution of major project deals across the region.Providing proactive advice on legal and commercial issues and managing contractual risks to minimise disputes.Ideal CandidateAt least 8 years'' experience in front-end construction, projects and related transactions.Be confident leading a project.Ideally you have both private practice and in house experience.Can do, positive attitude who is very comfortable working in a team and managing multi-disciplinary projects across the business.On offerCompetitive salary plus bonusMentoring and trainingNew offices with brilliant harbour viewsHybrid working style and true flexibilityContactFor a confidential discussion, please contact Morgan Elder at [email protected] or call 0415 914 803. #J-18808-Ljbffr
