Initial contract to 30 June 2027 + view to extendCanberra, Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne + Hybrid Working optionsActive Baseline Clearance RequiredWe are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Engineer to join a high-performing infrastructure team supporting the design, build and deployment of Azure-based enterprise systems.This role sits within a systems-focused environment undergoing a significant uplift, where core platforms are being modernised and replaced with modular, cloud-native solutions leveraging existing Azure services. You''ll play a key role in supporting project delivery and building resilient, secure, and maintainable infrastructure that underpins critical national operations.This is a hands-on, senior technical role with end-to-end ownership across packages of work, combined with the opportunity to guide junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.Please note: An active Baseline security clearance is required prior to commencement.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, implement and test Azure-based infrastructure solutions aligned to business requirements and engineering standardsProvide systems expertise to enhance and improve existing solutions across a complex enterprise environmentWork collaboratively across teams to investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-Code issuesOwn end-to-end delivery, ensuring reliability, security and maintainability of solutionsProvide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineersProduce high-quality technical and design documentation and ensure delivery milestones are metContribute to on-call support arrangements for enterprise infrastructurePerform additional duties as required to support operational outcomesEssential Experience and SkillsDemonstrated experience implementing enterprise IT solutions using Azure services, including:Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)Storage (Blob and File)Integration services (Service Bus, Event Hub)API Management (APIM)Key VaultStrong experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using ARM and/or Bicep templatesProven experience managing and migrating infrastructure solutions to AzureSolid understanding of risk management principles within infrastructure environmentsStrong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build effective working relationships and influence outcomesRelevant IT qualifications and cloud certificationsExperience with Git version control and branching strategiesKnowledge of Australian cyber security frameworksFamiliarity with IT frameworks such as ITIL and TOGAFUnderstanding of Commonwealth ICT frameworksTo apply please send your resume or contact Nat on 0430 292 875 or [email protected] #J-18808-Ljbffr
