OverviewWe''re looking for a Junior Designer (Design & Garment Tech) to join our growing design team across Hansen & Gretel and OWNLEY. This role is ideal for a detail-driven designer who enjoys both the creative and technical sides of fashion and wants hands-on exposure to the full design-to-production lifecycle.You''ll work closely with senior designers, supporting garment design, fittings, technical documentation, and production follow-through across both brands.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & DevelopmentSupport garment design across ready-to-wear collections, capsules, and special dropsCreate and update sketches, CADs, and design filesAssist with fabric, trim, and embellishment sourcingGarment Technology & FitPrepare and maintain accurate tech packs including measurements, construction details, and grading notesMeasure samples and update spec sheets throughout the sampling processAttend fittings, take detailed fit notes, and track amendmentsCommunicate fit and construction feedback to suppliers under guidance of senior designersSupport grading, size set reviews, and pre-production approvalsAssist with quality control checks against approved samples and tech packsProduction & SamplingSupport sample development from first prototype through to PP samplesLiaise with offshore factories and local makers alongside senior designersTrack sample timelines and follow up on approvalsAssist in maintaining critical path schedules and delivery timelinesStudio & Collection SupportPrepare garments for fittings, campaign shoots, and presentationsAssist with lookbooks, line sheets, and internal range reviewsMaintain organisation of samples, fabric libraries, trims, and patternsProvide general studio and admin support across both brands as neededSkills & ExperienceDegree or diploma in Fashion Design or Fashion Technology12 years experience in a junior design or garment tech role (or strong graduate with relevant internships)Strong Adobe Illustrator skills; Photoshop and InDesign a plusSound understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and fitHigh attention to detail with strong organisational skillsConfident communicator, both written and verbalPassion for contemporary womenswear and the Hansen & Gretel / OWNLEY aestheticWhat We''re Looking ForA proactive, hands-on designer with technical confidenceSomeone comfortable balancing creative tasks with technical accuracyA team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative studioStrong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learnWhy Join UsHands-on exposure to both design and garment technologyWork closely with founders and senior designersOpportunity to grow into a mid-level Designer or Garment Tech roleSupportive, fast-moving studio culture in RosberyHow to ApplyPlease send your CV and portfolio to [email protected] with the subject line "Junior Designer (Design & Garment Tech) Hansen & Gretel / OWNLEY". #J-18808-Ljbffr
