OverviewWe''re on the hunt for a senior litigator to join one of our fast-moving litigation teams. In this role, you''ll be the lawyer who takes ownership of your matters from start to finish; managing files, guiding junior lawyers, drafting pleadings and evidence, shaping strategy, running directions hearings when needed, and briefing and instructing counsel. In other words, you''ll be driving the work.You''ll have one partner and 2 Senior Associates to support you and a team of 4 lawyers who will be ready to help you with the work.ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of matters from start to finish; manage files and guide junior lawyers.Draft pleadings and evidence and assist juniors in sharpening their skills.Shape strategy, run directions hearings when needed, and brief/instruct counsel.Drive the work and lead by example within a fast-moving litigation team.Qualifications and requirementsSolid, hands-on experience with court processes and procedure, particularly in commercial litigation in the NSW Courts and the Federal Court.Strong knowledge of the rules of evidence.Understanding of the second limb of Barnes v Addy.Experience attending directions hearings and subpoena returns.Confidence working independently and with junior team members.If this sounds like you, get in touch at [email protected]. #J-18808-Ljbffr
