LOCATION:MANNING CARTELL Head Office, Marrickville, SydneyREPORTING TO:Production ManagerSTATUS:Full Time or Part TimeKEY RELATIONSHIPSInternal: Design Team, Patternmakers, Production and Distribution.External: Local and Offshore manufacturers, Suppliers and Specialty Service providers.MANNING CARTELL are looking for an experienced Garment Technician to join our team.An individual with meticulous attention to detail and a passion for producing quality garments from design to dispatch with an emphasis on sustainability.In this role, the Garment Technician will be working closely with the design and production team to establish the tech details of each new garment within our collections.The Garment Technician will be able to solve technical problems between designer, patternmakers, and local and offshore makers and will own the preparation of tech packs and trims necessary for sampling and bulk.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Create detailed tech packs for local and offshore manufacturingLiaise with external factories to support the sampling and production processSuccessfully meet critical path deadlines for sampling and bulkOversee all sample, SMS, PPS and bulk garment quality controlMeasuring of all samples and logging measurements into the tech packsMeasuring and QC bulk SS and liaising with production to resolve any technical issuesLead fittings, update specs, and follow up on comments with patternmakers, machinists, and makersTaking accurate notes during fittings and liaising with development and production on priorities and next stepsProvide accurate grading information for each garmentWorking with production to ensure construction methods meet target marginsConduct care test for each new fabric and report finding, maintain care instruction masterWork closely with the design, production, and distribution teams to resolve quality issuesCORE COMPETENCIES3+ years'' experience in a Garment Tech roleStrong knowledge of garment production processes, including patternmaking, fit, quality control and fabric testingProficient in Excel, Creative Cloud, Photoshop and In DesignStrategic communicator, able to liaise with local and offshore makers, patternmakers, and service providers effectivelyOrganised and self-motivated individualTHE PERKSWork within a well-known Australian fashion brandA competitive salary packageEmployee referral bonusJoin a team committed to their community and sustainable, conscious fashion choices #J-18808-Ljbffr
