Where you''ll be working Royal North Shore Hospital Campus What You''ll Be Doing Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) is responsible for hosting the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Support Service (NVSS), comprising three operational arms which provide high quality Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) services to eligible patients across NSW. This includes the Care Navigator Service (VAD-CNS) acting as a specialist call and referral service and providing the NSW community with a statewide point of contact in relation to VAD. The Care Navigator is a key member of the VAD-CNS. The team of Care Navigators will ensure that the VAD-CNS delivers compassionate, highquality advice and support related to VAD through the Call Service that operates on a Monday to Friday basis, including coordinating referrals. The Care Navigator also provides input into the ongoing development of VAD-CNS operations and participation in the Service''s continuous quality improvement processes. Key Responsibilities Provide consistent and accurate information about voluntary assisted dying. Liaise with patients, families, health professionals and others in the delivery of VAD. Support individuals as they navigate through the VAD process. Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and with relevant postregistration qualifications and at least 3 years experience working in the clinical area of their specified postgraduate qualification, or qualifications or experience deemed equivalent by the employer. Allied Health Professional with a completed bachelors degree in relevant field that provides eligibility for membership of the relevant Australian Association with demonstrated experience as a Level 2 or equivalent. Clinical Psychologist with full registration and a masters degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology or another recognised clinical area in psychology that the employer deems relevant to the functions of the position.
