Early Finish Fridays at 12 noon. Daily admin time. Inperson mentoring. Experienced multidisciplinary team of psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists and early intervention teachers. Could this be the role you have been hoping to find? Are you at the stage in your career where you already have a good foundation in paediatric OT, but still want the support, guidance and daytoday connection that help you keep growing? Would it make a real difference to work in a practice where experienced clinicians are around you every day? Where your mentoring is in person. Where your week feels more manageable. Why Kids First stands out Kids First has supported local children and their families since 2007. Now in our 20th year, we are an established multidisciplinary practice where Child Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Early Intervention Teachers work closely together every day. For many clinicians, that mix is a big part of what makes Kids First so appealing. The chance to work alongside both psychologists and teachers, as well as OTs and speech pathologists, brings broader perspectives, richer clinical discussion, and the kind of daytoday learning that helps good clinicians keep growing. It also means children and families benefit from a more connected, practical and wellrounded approach. Watch the short video below to hear Sonja Walker share what shapes life at Kids First. What that looks like at Kids First At Kids First, we believe you are a person first and a practitioner second. That belief shapes the way we support our clinicians, manage caseloads, and help people build careers that work well over the long term. We invest in what matters most: our people, and making sure their work matches their lives. That is reflected in the way we structure the week, the support we provide, and the care we take in building a workplace where people can grow and still have room for life outside work. What this role can offer you A multidisciplinary team with real depth At Kids First, you will be part of a genuinely collaborative team of Child Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Early Intervention Teachers. That gives you the chance to learn from different ways of thinking, build a broader understanding of children and families, and keep growing through the kind of shared clinical discussion that happens when experienced people work closely together. Kids First is the kind of practice where you can walk down the hall, talk something through, and learn from the experienced team around you. Variety that keeps your work interesting You will support children with a wide range of needs, which helps keep your role varied, engaging and rewarding. Alongside inclinic work in our wellequipped OT rooms, you will also have the opportunity to support some children in their schools and preschools, with paid kilometre allowance for mobile visits. That variety helps keep your work connected to childrens real worlds and gives you valuable opportunities to collaborate with educators in meaningful ways. Inperson mentoring that helps you keep growing You will receive weekly inperson mentoring from an experienced OT Team Leader, along with the daytoday support that comes from being surrounded by capable, approachable team members who are generous with their knowledge. Our fortnightly OT Hub meetings and multidisciplinary case conferences are one of the ways clinicians keep growing at Kids First. Knowledge, resources and ideas are shared generously, questions are welcomed, and people leave these meetings with practical support they can use in their work with children, families and educators. An established practice with experience behind it Kids First has supported thousands of local children and their families since 2007. When you join us, you join an established practice with a strong local reputation, experienced people around you, sound systems, and a team culture that has been built carefully over time. Our Core Values of Care, Kindness, Compassion and Making a Contribution are not just words on a wall. They shape the way we support children and families, the way we treat one another as colleagues, and the kind of workplace we continue to build. A week that feels more manageable We help our clinicians do work they can feel proud of, while still protecting space for life outside work. When the week around you is structured well, it is easier to stay on top of your documentation, prepare properly, and be fully present in your work with children and families. That is one of the reasons we place real value on daily admin time, Early Finish Fridays, and the support of an experienced Practice and Operations Manager whose role is to help the team succeed.
