SEND Teaching Assistant - Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Cambridgeshire Teaching Personnel are working closely with a range of supportive and inclusive schools across Cambridgeshire to recruit experienced SEND Teaching Assistants for both full-time and part-time roles. We are supporting schools with short-term and long-term staffing needs, working with pupils who have a variety of additional needs including SEND and SEMH. These roles are ideal for Teaching Assistants who are passionate about making a difference and have the experience to confidently support pupils with additional needs. A full UK driving licence is desirable due to the range of school locations, but not essential. The Role Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND Support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored and inclusive learning Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing Help create a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment A Typical Day May Include Supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day Delivering targeted interventions and structured activities Assisting with classroom learning and adapting resources Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation Liaising with the class teacher and SENCO Providing feedback on pupil progress and development Supporting during transitions, breaktimes, or sensory activities where required Who We''re Looking For Essential: strong and recent experience supporting pupils with SEND in a UK school setting Confident supporting needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language difficulties A calm, patient, and resilient approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A proactive and adaptable attitude Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Appropriate qualifications and training for this role Commitment to safeguarding and completion of child protection and prevent duty training Benefits of Working with Teaching Personnel Competitive weekly pay, paid via PAYE with no umbrella deductions Access to a wide range of full-time, part-time, long-term, and permanent opportunities Flexible work to suit your availability and preferences A dedicated personal consultant offering ongoing support and guidance Access to free CPD courses, including SEND-specific training Opportunities to gain experience across a variety of school and specialist settings Support with CV writing, interview preparation, and career progression Pension contributions (subject to eligibility) Quick and efficient registration process Strong relationships with local schools across Cambridgeshire Consistent work available for experienced and reliable candidates #J-18808-Ljbffr
