The Role The Production Assembler is responsible for the assembly and installation of tray bodies, accessories, and components onto 4WD vehicles, ensuring all work meets company specifications and quality standards. This handson role requires the ability to interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions, demonstrate attention to detail, and perform manual tasks in a fastpaced, physically demanding environment. Key Responsibilities Assemble and install 4WD trays, canopies, toolboxes, and related components using appropriate tools, techniques, and equipment. Surface Preparation: Cleaning, sanding, masking, and sandblasting surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of the powder coating. Safely and efficiently use hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery, and report any faults or maintenance issues as needed. Work safely at all times, uphold WHS standards, and maintain a clean, hazardfree workspace with consideration for the safety of others and yourself. Perform and record all required quality checks and inspections, report nonconformances, and take action to prevent further processing of defective products. Accurately read and follow technical drawings, assembly instructions, and specifications to ensure correct installation and build quality. About You Strong commitment to safe work practices and maintaining a safe environment. Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods in a fastpaced and demanding work environment. Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools, with the ability to assemble components accurately and efficiently. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions, complete documentation, and contribute effectively to team discussions. Skilled in troubleshooting and identifying process faults, with basic computer literacy for accessing job instructions and recording production data. Ability to follow instructions and work in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.
