In this role, youll perform specialised Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and welding inspections, supporting critical engineering outcomes across complex marine projects. Key Responsibilities Perform NDT inspections across Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, Ultrasonic, Radiographic and Eddy Current methods Conduct welding inspections and provide technical advice on NDT applications Analyse results and produce accurate, compliant technical reports Support delivery of NDT services to meet quality, cost and schedule targets Maintain equipment standards, including calibration and verification Contribute to maintaining NATA accreditation and continuous improvement initiatives Mentor and support junior technicians, promoting safe and effective work practices Your Skills, Qualifications and Experience ISO 9712 Level 2 certification in key NDT methods (MPI, DPI, UT or RT) Certified Welding Inspector (Weld Australia or CSWIP) NSW EPA Radiation User Licence (or ability to obtain) Strong understanding of NDT equipment, calibration and inspection processes Solid technical reporting skills with high attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders Relevant trade or technical qualification, with good computer proficiency (MS Office) Desirable Experience Additional ISO 9712 certifications (UT, RT or Eddy Current) Experience in naval, maritime or defence environments Confined Space, Working at Heights or EWP licences Exposure to quality systems and continuous improvement practices Legal & Eligibility As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
