This position is responsible for executing the day-to-day hydrogeological tasks at Heathgates Beverley Mine under the guidance of the Wellfield Superintendent. The Hydrogeologist plays a key role in supporting site operations through the collection, analysis, and interpretation of groundwater data to inform production strategies and environmental compliance. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teamsincluding geology, drilling, production, maintenance, and environmental departmentsto ensure hydrogeological inputs are effectively integrated into mine planning and decisionmaking processes.This includes maintaining and updating hydrogeological databases, supporting the development and refinement of predictive models, and contributing to the design and execution of hydrogeological investigations. A strong focus on communication and coordination ensures that hydrogeological insights are translated into practical actions.Responsibilities includeEnsure compliance with site safety, environmental, and heritage protocols.Acquire, validate, and manage hydrogeological data to maintain integrity and support operational decisions.Apply appropriate methodologies and ensure regulatory compliance in:Wellfield balance and excursion controlPerformance optimisation of wellfield operationsStrategic placement of monitoring wells and screen intervals for aquifer surveillanceDisposal monitoringMonitoring of natural attenuation processesCollaborate with the Geology Team on wellfield planning, well design and flow estimates.Monitor production well performance, including pressure trends, flow rates, and pump reliability.Maintain hydrogeological databases to support realtime performance tracking and reporting.Reconcile wellfield production data with operational outputs.Conduct hydrogeological assessments and prepare technical reports as required.Drive innovation and uphold technical standards in hydrogeological practices.Essential QualificationsDegree in Science, majoring in Hydrogeology (must have)Current Drivers LicenceEssential Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceAdvanced skills utilising Microsoft Office software (e.g. Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint)Working knowledge of hydrogeological software appropriate to the position such as ModFlow, FeFlow, Aqtesolv etc;Intermediate skills with GIS or related digital environments (ie.
