Description Amazon is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join our growing Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team at our site in Moorebank, Sydney. As a Maintenance Technician, youll keep our site operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging, and distribution machinery. Youll respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and implement longterm improvements to reduce downtime. We are hiring multiple permanent nightshift positions, working on a 4day roster (10hour shifts). These roles are entitled to annual leave and penalty rates where applicable. Key Job Responsibilities Complete proactive and preventative maintenance on site equipment Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a live warehouse environment Implement longterm solutions to reduce future downtime Use specialized tools to maximize equipment effectiveness Follow and promote Health & Safety standards A Day in the Life Our RME Technicians are based onsite, so they can respond quickly to any machinery issues. Youll carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites equipment to make sure its working safely. As an RME Technician, youll also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. Youll also make suggestions for longterm improvements. Working alongside senior colleagues, youll undertake daytoday maintenance tasks and general building maintenance. About The Team Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team keeps our equipment performing at its best. Were a technically minded team, made up of excellent team players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network of fulfilment centres. Basic Qualifications Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate III in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Certificate III in Engineering or Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia. Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems Ability to read and understand electrical / mechanical drawings Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations Preferred Qualifications Experience with CMMS systems Experience with sortation machines Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners Experience with print and apply machines Equal Opportunity Statement Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
