About the Role Career Consultants collaborate with Faculty partners to integrate and embed career and life design into the curriculum. The team provides consultation and expert advice in scaffolding career development learning in the course and student experience. Career Consultants design, tailor and facilitate engaging learning experiences across multiple formats, including inclass sessions, online learning, group coaching, and oneonone career consultations. The team partner with faculty stakeholders to identify opportunities to embed and scaffold career education in courses and apply contemporary career development and adult learning principles to support highquality learning outcomes. Career Consultants collaborate with Careers Community Coordinators and the broader UTS Careers team to ensure students receive consistent, aligned support across the curriculum and cocurriculum. They participate in the delivery of employability initiatives and work as an integrated member of UTS Careers, supporting other activities as required. We are currently hiring for multiple positions. One of the available roles will also supervise our Peer Career Advisors team, supporting the delivery of express appointments and frontline career services. Responsibilities Develop and maintain strategic relationships with faculty stakeholders for the integration of career development learning in curriculum. Design, deliver, and evaluate engaging and inclusive career education that supports student learning and is informed by contemporary career development and adult learning principles. Provide tailored individual and group career support, ensuring diverse student needs are met. Work collaboratively with Careers Community Coordinators and the broader UTS Careers team towards achieving UTS Careers Strategic goals. (For one designated role) Supervise Peer Career Advisors to ensure highquality express appointments and frontline student support. Key Selection Criteria Demonstrated expertise in career development learning, including the ability to apply career and life design methodology and contemporary adult learning theories within a higher education context. Extensive experience designing and facilitating engaging, inclusive, and innovative career development learning, delivered across multiple modalities, including asynchronous, synchronous, online, and inperson environments. Proven experience providing oneonone career consultations, demonstrating responsiveness to diverse student needs and the ability to support students at different stages of their career development. Demonstrated ability to proactively build collaborative relationships with academic and professional staff, including the capacity to communicate effectively, negotiate priorities, and provide expert advice within complex faculty environments to embed and scaffold career development learning in the curriculum. A collaborative and proactive approach to working as part of a team, including the ability to share expertise, contribute to collective goals, and work effectively with colleagues to support highquality career education and services for students. Additional Criterion Demonstrated experience supervising students or earlycareer staff, including the ability to guide, support, and develop a team to deliver highquality frontline services such as express appointments. Base Salary Range $107,402 - $137,609 pa (HEW7/8) This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
