About The Role The Salvation Armys HeadFyrst program partners with six headspace sites across SouthWestern and Western Sydney to deliver integrated, youthfocused mental health and AOD support. Through strong collaboration with medical and allied health services, HeadFyrst provides personalised, coordinated care for young people aged 1225 years. As a HeadFyrst Clinician, you will deliver evidencebased psychological interventions within a harmminimisation and clientcentred framework, supporting young people with cooccurring mental health and substance use concerns. Youll be part of a safe, inclusive and youthfriendly service that values trust, empowerment and longterm recovery. This is a permanent parttime role (34 days per week, 9am5pm) based in Liverpool, NSW, reporting to the Regional Manager. Salary is aligned with the Health Professionals and Support Services Award. How You Will Make An Impact You will work directly with young people and their families to assess needs, develop tailored treatment plans and deliver therapeutic interventions that support lasting change. This includes: Conducting psychosocial and psychometric assessments, case formulation and risk assessment Delivering evidencebased interventions across mental health and AOD presentations Building strong therapeutic relationships with young people, families and carers Coordinating care and referrals within multidisciplinary teams and external services Maintaining highquality clinical documentation, ethical practice and professional standards Actively contributing to clinical reviews, supervision, team meetings and program promotion What You Will Bring Registration (or provisional registration) as a psychologist or eligible Allied Health professional Experience delivering evidencebased, traumainformed care to young people Strong capability working with complex presentations, including AOD use, mental health, trauma and suicide risk Cultural sensitivity and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally diverse communities A collaborative mindset, ethical practice and commitment to ongoing professional development Essential Requirements AHPRA registration (or pathway eligibility), a current NSW Working with Children Check, Drivers licence, and First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
