MALE PART-TIME DISABILITY SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL WYONG (67.5 HOURS) We are looking for a motivated and caring professional to provide support for a group of clients with intellectual disabilities living within a home in Wyong. Clients enjoy sensory activities, cooking, arts & crafts, time with families and community activities. They require support with complex behaviours and assistance in engaging in meaningful activities. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE: Willing to work sleepovers, night shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Hold an NSW Driver''s Licence (P2/Full). Willing to drive an Unisson vehicle. High levels of enthusiasm, initiative and a positive attitude. Shows emotional intelligence, resilience and the capacity to perform the required work. Prior experience working with people with disabilities or in a similar role (desirable). Certificate III and/or IV in Disability and prior experience (desirable). RESPONSIBILITIES: Support and encourage clients to participate in activities within the home and in the wider community. Provide personal care (toileting, showering, grooming, dressing) as per each clients person-centred plan. Use the manual handling techniques specified in a clients comprehensive plan. Transport clients to appointments or activities in vehicles or on public transport. Interact with clients, families and other stakeholders respectfully. Develop, implement, keep records and review each clients comprehensive person-centred and behaviour support plan. Work cooperatively as part of a team and treat all colleagues with respect. Respond to all incidents and injuries in accordance with Unissons policies and the NDIS Quality Safeguards Standards.
