About the Role The Instructional Designer plays a key role in supporting the Global Teacher Academy (GTA) by designing and delivering highquality professional learning experiences for educators across the organisation. Working closely with the GTA team and key stakeholders, the role focuses on translating professional development content into engaging, structured and userfriendly learning experiences within the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS). The designer ensures that learning resources are visually consistent, accessible, and easy for educators to navigate and apply in practice. Key Responsibilities Learning Design and LMS Development Build, format and maintain courses within the Canvas LMS Translate professional learning content into structured, engaging online modules Ensure courses are intuitive, visually consistent and aligned with instructional design best practices Maintain and update existing courses and resources as required Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy, functionality and consistency Media and Resource Development Edit and format video content (e.g., trimming, captions, transitions) Develop visual learning materials including slides, graphics and downloadable resources Ensure all materials meet accessibility and usability standards Design and Branding Apply organisational branding across all learning materials and resources Design and format content using tools such as Canva and PowerPoint Maintain templates to ensure consistency across all outputs Learning Design Process & Coordination Facilitate collaborative planning sessions to storyboard learning experiences Develop design artefacts to support review and approval processes Maintain clear workflows, documentation and version control practices Collaboration and Support Work closely with the Global Teacher Academy team to deliver learning programs Provide technical and design support to ensure timely delivery Communicate progress, timelines and support needs effectively Benefits Being part of a truly global organisation with a strong presence across Australia Generous remuneration and employment benefits Flexible working arrangements, including workfromhome options A collaborative and supportive team environment The opportunity to contribute to impactful global learning programs Exposure to innovative approaches to professional learning and education Free catered lunch from our onsite restaurant Free/discounted tickets to sporting, music and entertainment events at Sydney Olympic Park A commitment to providing a safe and caring working and learning environment with a strong focus on wellbeing About You Experience working with Learning Management Systems, ideally Canvas Demonstrated ability to translate content into structured, engaging learning experiences Strong visual design skills with experience using tools such as Canva and PowerPoint Experience with basic video editing for learning content Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities High attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency Excellent communication and collaboration skills A userfocused mindset with a passion for improving learning experiences Highly Regarded Qualification in Education, Instructional Design, Learning & Development or a related field Experience designing professional learning for educators or adult learners Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design frameworks #J-18808-Ljbffr
