About The Role We are looking for that exceptional someone who will have a passion in delivering high quality food to our diners and who will be able to work in a fastpaced and teamorientated work environment. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of high quality dishes, contributing new ideas to the menu, ensuring that stock rotation is efficiently managed, maintaining clean and orderly work spaces, and monitoring portion and quality control. Joining The Alcott, Lane Cove means you are part of Norths Collective which includes Norths Cammeray, The Greens North Sydney, The Verandah Beecroft, and Seagulls Tweed Heads. Your Key Priorities Will Be To Overseeing the preparation, cooking and presentation of food Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef where required Financial performance by maintaining proper portion and stock control to keep food costs down Creating tasting menu notes to provide to floor staff when changing the menu Maintaining clean and orderly workspaces Hygiene and food safety of the highest level in accordance with food safety guidelines and Club policies and procedures Actively driving and supporting a range of Work, Health and Safety Compliance activities Directing and supporting those in your team Training junior kitchen team members through policies, procedures and all training courses offered by Norths Collective Maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders The Candidate Experience in working under pressure in a fastpaced, highvolume kitchen Understanding strict health and hygiene standards and Workplace Health & Safety legislation Experience in food quality control HACCP accreditation Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate or willingness to obtain Chef trade qualifications Multifunctional chef with an interest in expanding your cooking career Capability to work a rotating roster that includes days, nights, weekends and public holidays Passion for producing great tasting, quality food Our Benefits Dynamic, energised management team embracing change and focused on success Free gym membership at Norths Fitness Work for a Club that continues to reinvent its relevancy to its local community We look forward to meeting you and having you join our team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
