Overview News Corp Australias State and Community division is seeking a dynamic senior journalist to lead the Canberra team as a National Political Editor. The role offers a frontrow seat to the nations political stage, where you will report on key players, policies and debates that define Australia. Responsibilities Break exclusive political stories and provide insightful analysis for a national audience. Collaborate with statebased colleagues to ensure cohesive and comprehensive political coverage. Build and maintain strong relationships with key political figures, policymakers and stakeholders. Deliver highquality content under tight deadlines, demonstrating initiative and resilience. Report directly to the Head of News for Network News. Qualifications Deep curiosity and passion for uncovering stories that matter. Proven experience in political reporting or a related field. Strong multiplatform skills, including video broadcast and editing. Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with a focus on accuracy and clarity. Initiative, maturity and enthusiasm for tackling difficult and robust assignments. Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fastpaced, highpressure environment.
