Located at Sydneys Iconic - Taronga Zoo Cammeraigal Country. Ongoing, fulltime position. TCSA Salaried Employees Award, Clerk Grade 11/12, annual package starting from $169,716 (includes base salary $149,739 + 12% superannuation and annual leave loading where applicable). Taronga Conservation Society Australia is looking for an experienced and motivated Manager Information Technology PMO to join our IT team. About The Role Provide leadership and oversight of the Information Technology Project Management Office, guiding projects from initiation through to delivery. Ensure all initiatives are executed efficiently, within scope, on schedule, and on budget, while aligning outcomes with Tarongas strategic objectives. Key Accountabilities Strategic Alignment & Planning Ensure all IT projects are aligned with Tarongas strategic objectives and digital roadmap. Lead the development and continuous improvement of PMO frameworks, methodologies, and standards. Portfolio Management Oversee the prioritisation, resourcing, and scheduling of the IT project portfolio to maximise value delivery. Monitor and report on portfolio performance, risks, and benefits realisation to executive stakeholders. Proactively identify and manage risks and issues across the portfolio, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place. Escalate critical risks and decisions to senior leadership as required. Project Governance & Compliance Establish and enforce governance structures, ensuring projects adhere to organisational policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices. These include procurement. Facilitate budget funding request process for IT (Priority Projects). Ensure appropriate documentation is submitted. Leadership & Capability Development Lead, mentor, and develop a highperforming team of project managers and coordinators. Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the PMO. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and support. Provide clear, timely, and transparent communication on project status, risks, and issues. Budget & Resource Oversight Manage PMO budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints. Oversee resource allocation and capacity planning to support successful project delivery. Performance Measurement & Reporting Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for project and portfolio success. Deliver regular reports and insights to inform strategic decisionmaking. About You Proven experience in leading IT project portfolios and managing a PMO in a complex organisational environment. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile) and governance frameworks. Skilled in designing solutions based on business analysis and enterprise architecture principles. Demonstrated ability to align project delivery with strategic objectives and manage competing priorities. Demonstrated business partnering and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence business and technology outcomes. Strong attention to detail with a processdriven, continuous improvement mindset. Hold a current NSW Drivers License or ability to have existing license formally recognised, including manual and maintain at your own expense.
