Were immensely proud of our history and are looking for people to join us who are as excited by our future as we are.Join the teamWe are recruiting for a Graphic Designer - Childrenswear for a 12 month FTC to join the team, supporting the creation of on-trend, commercial graphics and helping bring our apparel ranges to life.What will you do?In this role, you will be a Graphic Designer Apparel working collaboratively with key stakeholders to offer a professional and creative textiles graphics service to Target, designing commercial artwork representative of key trends in all the apparel childrenswear to drive sales and profitability.We would love to see your creative flair and a PORTFOLIO of your WORKS is required to be attached to your application.ResponsibilitiesInspire the Textiles graphics function (both internal and external resources) to deliver graphics that are on trend and in line with the overall direction of the businessWork collaboratively with the Design Manager POV & Trend and key stakeholders to create and design commercial placement and yardage graphicsConduct ongoing market research to identify and drive graphics trend through pushing designs, colour, style and printing techniquesTake responsibility of responding to design briefs with commercial, innovative and inspiring graphics and conceptsManage multiple deadlines to deliver print direction and artwork for each quarter, in line with critical pathSupporting with the delivery of trend presentations to sell designs to key stakeholdersTrend ForecastingIdentify, interpret and implement graphic trends using global trends and markets to add value through graphic design and sales in line with Target handwritingVisually articulate and effectively communicate the graphic direction for the season and stay ahead of fashion trends to ensure our designs are always current and desirablePresent graphic trend forecast effectively to a target audience including evidence to support this trendMaintain strong aesthetic taste and have an eye for the next commercial volume graphic trend/direction/styleRangingHave the ability to interpret range architecture to create commercial, customer focused, coordinated artwork across ranges that best reflect Targets handwriting and taste levelDevelop a range of graphics that align with our product lines and brand identityWhat are we looking for?The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Design, Textiles or Fashion with strong working experience in a Graphic Design role in a fast-paced retail environment.
