Job Description

The role We are looking for exceptional customer service professionals to join our customer-facing team deployed across the Sydney Light Rail network. As a Casual Customer Service Officer, you will manage large crowds, particularly during peak periods and major events, and typically work early mornings, late evenings and weekends. The role is critical to passenger safety and requires delivering highquality frontline customer service and supporting safe, efficient operations. You may also be upskilled to take on additional responsibilities during special events and for providing customer information from the control room. Responsibilities Deliver highquality customer service at platforms across Sydney Light Rail Provide clear, accurate, and timely travel information to customers Support customer flow and crowd management during peak periods and major events Manage and deescalate challenging customer interactions professionally Work both independently and as part of a broader Customer Service and Revenue Protection team Remain on your feet for the entire shift Maintain a flexible approach and commitment to working casual shifts Qualifications Strong customerservice skills with the ability to handle large crowds Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide travel information clearly and accurately Experience in crowd management or a related role is desirable Ability to remain composed and professional during challenging interactions Capability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and peak periods as required Physical stamina to stand on duty for the full shift Benefits We offer competitive pay and benefits within a positive culture that values diversity and employee feedback.
