Job Description

Job Description Bonjour! Step into a role where precision meets personalised service, and every detail shapes an exceptional group experience. As our Groups Assistant Manager within Reservations, you will play a pivotal role in curating seamless stays, from the very first enquiry to the final departure. You will create and manage group bookings with care and accuracy, overseeing rooming lists, arrivals, dining arrangements, deposits, and final numbers, ensuring all information is complete and up to date. Working in close harmony with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Porter teams, you will ensure every group requirement, special request, and contractual detail is thoughtfully executed, delivering a cohesive and elevated guest journey. You will prepare and share refined, standardised reports that keep all departments aligned and informed, while maintaining a forwardthinking approach, monitoring group performance, identifying key demand periods, and uncovering opportunities to optimise revenue and enhance outcomes. Your expertise in Opera and attention to detail will ensure all records, billing arrangements, and commission processes are maintained with precision and integrity. As a natural relationship builder, you will nurture connections with clients, PCOs, suppliers, and partner hotels, fostering trust and loyalty that inspires repeat business. You will also support the growth of new opportunities, assisting in the qualification of group leads and identifying thoughtful ways to elevate each booking through tailored enhancements and upselling. You will manage payments, cancellations, and noshows in line with hotel policies, ensuring all communications and contracts reflect the highest brand standards. With a strong sense of accountability, you will balance daily administrative responsibilities with ease, while supporting the team and leadership with professionalism, care, and a commitment to excellence. Qualifications About You: You bring proven experience in luxury hotel group or events management, ideally within a supervisory capacity, with a strong understanding of the endtoend journey from initial enquiry through to seamless execution. You are highly organised, naturally composed, and thrive in managing multiple priorities with ease, bringing structure, precision, and calm confidence to even the most dynamic environments. Your attention to detail is exceptional, ensuring every aspect of a group experience is thoughtfully curated and flawlessly delivered. You possess refined communication and interpersonal skills, building genuine connections with clients, colleagues, and partners alike. Your ability to negotiate, collaborate, and influence is matched by your warm, guestfocused approach, always seeking to create memorable and personalised experiences. You are technically proficient in hotel reservations and event management systems; experience in Opera Cloud is highly regarded. Adaptable and flexible, you embrace the evolving nature of hospitality, including working evenings or weekends when required. You are flexible and reliable, available to work at least one weekend day and adapt to a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays. You hold full Australian working rights, allowing you to work without restriction. Diversity & Inclusion We are an inclusive company, and our ambition is to attract, recruit, and promote diverse talent. We offer reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process; please let us know how we can support you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
