The trainee registrar will have excellent training opportunities and involvement in a wide range of diagnostic services in all aspects of histopathology, autopsy pathology and cytopathology. Rotations occur to Forensic Pathology and Hobart Pathology. Registrars are involved in clinical meetings, teaching and research. The Royal Hobart Hospital is accredited for the Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. Medical Practitioner Level 5-11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar) $134,930 to $189,005 per annum. Salary range is in accordance with the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022. Period of Employment Fixed term, full time day work, 76 hours per fortnight (+10 hours protected training time per fortnight, pro rata) commencing 1 February 2027 until 8 February 2028 (24 months negotiable). Duties The Registrar is responsible for the day to day Surgical cut-up, biopsy reporting and surgical meetings at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
