We currently have positions available at the sites listed below. Please submit your application and let us know which site you would like to be considered for. 2 X Groundsperson Rosehill Gardens 1 X Groundsperson Randwick THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Racecourse Manager, this permanent fulltime role is responsible for maintaining the course, training tracks, and grounds at one of our Racecourses mentioned above, ensuring they are always presented in the best possible condition. This position plays a vital role in the success of our carnival race days and in creating a memorable experience for all who attend. DAY TO DAY, THE ROLE WILL In this role, youll be handson with the upkeep and care of our racetracks Undertake general maintenance work including labouring, cleaning, tracks, gardens and maintenance instructions Operate plant equipment such as tractors, mowers, frontend loader forklift, power sweepers, power harrows, brush cutters, hedgers, push mowers and general spray operations Conduct routine maintenance of turf, synthetic, artificial and other surfaces Working hours on nonrace days: 8:30 5:00pm Race day vs nonrace day roster. During a race week you will work TueSat, when its not a race week the work will be MonFri. THE RIGHT FIT Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in turf management is preferred but not required General operational and mechanical maintenance skills; Appropriate licences to operate specialist machinery such as a manual vehicle, frontend loader and forklifts preferred but not required Experience in operating plant and equipment including Bobcat, Grader and Excavator would be desirable; Sound knowledge and practical experience of handling and spraying chemicals; A demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team; Sound verbal and interpersonal communication skills; Enjoy working outdoors A can do attitude To apply, visit our-careers/ We look forward to reviewing your application.
