Accounts Payable Team Leader You will play a critical role in maintaining financial discipline across the organisation. Youll lead the endtoend AP function, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately, approved correctly and paid on time. By balancing people leadership, operational delivery and financial control, youll protect cash flow, strengthen governance and support strong supplier relationships. About the Role This is a handson leadership role for someone who values structure, accuracy and accountability. Reporting to the Credit & Billing Manager, youll lead a team of Accounts Payable Officers, oversee daily AP operations, manage complex transactions and ensure all activity aligns with procurement frameworks, delegations of authority and audit requirements. This role would suit someone with supervisory experience, looking to gain more as well as lead from the front in actioning accounts payable. The base salary budget for this role is $90,000 plus super. What Youll Be Doing Lead & Support the Team Lead, coach and develop a team of Accounts Payable Officers Allocate workloads and set priorities to meet payment cycles and deadlines Provide regular feedback, performance coaching and development support Address performance or conduct issues in line with policy Own Accounts Payable Operations Oversee endtoend AP processing, from invoice receipt to payment Ensure invoices align with contracts, purchase orders and delegations Review and approve complex, highrisk or nonstandard transactions Monitor payment accuracy, backlogs, exceptions and rework Stay Compliant & In Control Ensure AP activities meet internal controls, segregation of duties and audit standards Identify, manage, and escalation payment risks or systemic issues Maintain accurate, complete and retained documentation and approvals Improve the Way We Work Drive consistent and effective use of AP and finance systems Track key metrics such as turnaround times, overdue payments and exceptions Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and control Support audits, reviews and reporting as required Partner with Stakeholders & Suppliers Work closely with Procurement, Finance and budget holders Engage professionally with suppliers to resolve queries or escalations Escalate issues impacting payment performance or supplier relationships About You Youre a confident, detaildriven people leader who understands that strong AP controls underpin trust, cash flow and compliance.
