Campus Student Support Assistant | Maitland NSWOneSchool Global - Maitland Campus NSW AUS, 36-38 Fieldsend Street, East Maitland, New South Wales, AustraliaPosted Wednesday 11 March 2026 at 1:00 pmAs a Campus Student Support Assistant, you will join our Maitland campus in Term 2 2026 on a full time, permanent basis.ResponsibilitiesProvide dedicated one-to-one support for a student with complex learning, communication barriers and behavioural needs, including Autism.Work closely with the Learning Support Teacher and campus team to implement structured strategies that support the students academic, social and emotional development.Assist the student to engage in classroom activities and school routines, supporting participation in learning, transitions and daily tasks.Implement individualised learning and behaviour support strategies designed for students with complex needs, including visual supports, structured routines and communication tools.Provide personal care support where required, ensuring the students dignity, safety and wellbeing at all times.Support the use of communication systems, including AAC, visual schedules and other strategies to assist expressive and receptive language.Reinforce self-regulation strategies, including programs such as Zones of Regulation and other evidence-based supports.Maintain clear communication with the Learning Support Teacher and campus staff, ensuring consistency in the students support plan.Contribute to a calm, predictable and supportive learning environment for the student.Campus ContextThe Campus at OneSchool Global Maitland sits in the Hunter Valley and Newcastle Coastline area.
