The Opportunity The Transport Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that staff are aware and trained in all QA processes and procedures and understand work instructions in their assigned areas. The Supervisor is also responsible for the management of all designated warehouse staff and ensuring that all customer orders are picked and delivered in full on time and within budget. Role Summary This role is responsible for the effective supervision of staff and activities in compliance with cGMP as defined in PIC/S Guide to Good Manufacturing Practice, ISO 9001/13485, security and WHS standards. Be a key contact for transport suppliers and internal customers, plan for future demands and manage exceptions and deviations. Manage (including qualification) of transport providers via KPIs vs SLAs, MBR reviews, freight optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives. Be contractually savvy in understanding both business and carrier agreements and how they relate. Implement and control a process to have key data reported to HCL at transactional level (DIFOT). Maintain master data that is correct, accurate and controlled to align with company strategies, policies, SOPs, GMP regulations and all legal responsibilities. Work as part of the operations team to achieve overall business targets and the strategic direction for the group, proactively improving all operations. Supervise warehouse staff and assets to achieve strategic objectives for the HCL business, taking responsibility for performance of the warehouse operations as per agreed KPIs. Collaborate with management team and Principal/s to mitigate and resolve operational issues. Collaborate with Principal/Customer Service team to maintain data integrity and provide reporting required to support the business using systems and strong administrative skillset. Mentor and provide leadership for direct reports and ensure all staff are appropriately trained. Supervise staff to control receipt, storage and distribution of finished stocks and promotional materials and ensure inventory is correctly and accurately controlled in our ERP system. Responsible for the Safety, Health and Environment in which HCL operates. Support the Head of Quality and associates with nonconformance investigations, timely implementation of CAPA, documenting SOPs and identified operational improvement projects. What we are looking for You will be a strong leader, capable of motivating and inspiring your team, bringing people together to achieve common goals. A technically competent logistics professional with local Australian experience, strong transport and system skill sets, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of costs and operational optimisation. Minimum 4+ years experience in inventory, warehousing or distribution. Experience with SAP WM, SAP EWM or similar inventory management systems. Proven experience managing supply, storage and distribution operations, ideally in international or technologydriven environments. Strong leadership, team management and stakeholder communication skills. Solid understanding of procurement, inventory, warehousing and distribution systems. Ability to make strategic decisions, solve problems and ensure compliance with safety and logistics regulations. Strong organisational and analytical skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Effective problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities. Ability to work in a fastpaced, highpressure healthcare environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
