We currently have an exciting opportunity for experienced Utilities Engineers to join our Transport & Infrastructure team. Our specialist team provide technical expertise for the road, rail, maritime and aviation transport sectors. We have expertise working with utility networks, tunnel and road projects, heavy and light rail systems, Data Centres, maritime developments, airport facilities, property, and precinct developments. The team design and coordinate water, power, sewer, gas and telecommunication network infrastructure and combined service routes for rail assets and tunnel systems. The team also provides early master planning and investigation advice for precinct optioneering and development scenarios both regionally and within CBD environments. Our team deliver technical solutions for all stages of the project lifecycle including master planning, feasibility, strategic and concept design, detailed design, and construction. Our depth of knowledge and project experience enable our team work to collaboratively and provide a support network for all team members through the development of their skillset and career. We are a national business model, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on local and interstate projects for a range of government and private sector clients. Main Activities and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to): Represent WSP to a professional standard at all times. Stakeholder management and coordination of utility authorities, internal and external clients and stakeholders Analyze project information, production of designs and computations. Manage non-contestable and contestable designs and certifications. Supervise and review the completion of reports, drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation. Drive business development initiatives that lead to improved client feedback, satisfaction and exceed client expectations. Lead the development of a coordinated utility model and data management. Participate in and facilitate safety in design, value management and construction workshops. Prepare design reports and technical specifications. Work collaboratively with colleagues from all parts of the WSP business. The successful candidate will ideally possess the following experience and qualiti es: Possess a Bachelor of Civil Engineering or similar. 5+ years post qualification experience Experience with large road and rail infrastructure project. i.e., road and rail Experience or interest in utilities engineering Practical experience or knowledge design software such as 12D and Civil 3D Registered as a Professional Engineer with Chartered status or aspiring towards Chartership Ability to lead in a team environment and communicate effectively Preparing coordinated 3D models in appropriate 3D software (e.g. Civil 3D, 12D, Navisworks etc) Having experience with data centres is an advantage.
