Educational Assistant: Choral Music Aide/Music Department Secretary JobID: 385 Position Type: Student Support Services-Non-Instructional Support / Educational Assistant: Choral Music Aide/Music Department Secretary Date Posted: 4/16/2026 Location: Fairfield Jr-Sr High School Date Available: TBD Title Educational Assistant: Choral Music Aide/Music Department Secretary Qualifications Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently Ability to coordinate logistics for multiple activities and events Strong attention to detail and follow-through Duties and Responsibilities of Educational Assistant Accompany all choir classes Accompany all choir concerts and performance events Organize contests (April) Assist with graduation Assist with special events Assist with church concerts Direct and/or assist with sectional rehearsals Accompany choir-organized ensembles at District and State solo/ensemble contests Assist with auditions for Show Choir Make practice tapes for choir members Accompany at other performances (concert band, fall and spring student recitals) Direct and/or assist with extra rehearsals High School All-State Jr. High All-State Circle the State with Song Show Choir after-school rehearsals Small ensemble rehearsals Other duties as assigned by building principal and/or supervisor Duties and Responsibilities of Clerical Keep track of expenses and deposits for extra-curricular and booster accounts; submit bills and deposits to treasurer Complete and submit contest entry forms Order supplies and awards Copy materials: worksheets, classroom management info, permission slips, calendars, contest schedules, announcements, etc. Update class lists Tabulate annual student awards records Record and enter class attendance Manage student fund-raiser projects, collect orders and money Supervise and organize uniform check-out, schedule cleaning, handle ordering Submit maintenance work orders (piano tuning, repairs, etc.) Maintain music files Assist with ordering of new music Other duties as assigned by building principal and/or supervisor Requirements Must be 18 years of age Have at least a high school diploma or GED; associate''s degree or higher preferred Complete and pass an Expanded Criminal background and CPS Check Compensation Contracted days: 180 school days plus any required classified staff work days per school year Hours 7:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m. 8 hours a day Reports to Building Principal and/or Building Supervisor and Choir Director Equal Opportunity Employer Our company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
