Provide senior strategic leadership to maternity, neonatal and womens health services, fostering a culture of accountability, enquiry and excellence in midwifery practice. Working in partnership with obstetrics and executives, this role shapes safe, equitable and womancentred care aligned with NSW Health policy and quality standards. Where You''ll Be Working The position is based on Royal North Shore Hospital campus and requires work across NSLHD midwifery facilities and services. What You''ll Be Doing The Principal Midwifery Manager and CoDirector Maternity, Neonatal and Womens Health will provide strategic and operational direction, support, and service development across facilities. Responsibilities include: Strategic leadership of clinical services, including staff and resources, in partnership with NSLHD and facility executives to meet budgetary targets. Resource person for complex human resources issues, clinical investigations, and participation in relevant committees. Upholding professional principles as defined by the Nurses & Midwives Act 1991, ANMC, and AHPRA. Qualifications Current registration as a midwife with AHPRA and extensive clinical midwifery and senior management experience within a tertiarylevel hospital or across a maternity service, with demonstrated skills in operational and strategic planning. Ability to implement contemporary models of care and research within a maternity service to improve continuity, collaboration, care coordination and patient outcomes. Leadership skills to motivate and organize individuals and teams to achieve organisational goals, including advising, implementing, and monitoring governance frameworks. Experience ensuring quality and safety of maternity services, incorporating data, analytics, and womens experience into monitoring and improvement. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Other Requirements This NSW Health Category A position requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases.
