Job Description

Permanent parttime position, up to 24 hours per fortnight. Casual opportunities also available. West Gippsland Healthcare Group is seeking motivated and skilled Registered Nurses - Haemodialysis to join our team in permanent parttime (24 hours per fortnight) and casual capacity. Working under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager and Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will deliver safe, highquality, patientcentred haemodialysis care to clients across the continuum of renal health. You will be accountable for comprehensive nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care, while contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement activities and professional practice within the unit. The Haemodialysis service works in close partnership with Monash Medical Centre, network nephrology units and external care providers to ensure the delivery of bestpractice renal replacement therapy. We are seeking nurses who demonstrate strong clinical competence, professionalism, adaptability and a commitment to West Gippsland Healthcare Group''s vision, mission, values and agreed critical strategies. Casuals are employed on an as needs'' basis to backfill leave and extra shifts on days, nights and weekends. Casual positions do not include regular hours. Our preferred candidate will have: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Minimum of 2 years recent postgraduation experience Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support A thorough understanding and respect for confidentiality requirements Responsible and mature work attitude The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous: Postregistration qualification in haemodialysis nursing Recent experience in haemodialysis nursing Knowledge of privacy legislation and document control Previous experience within a hospital or health care environment IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
