About Ageing Australia Ageing Australia is the national peak body representing providers across the aged care landscape, including retirement living, seniors housing, residential care, home care, community care, and related services. We advocate for our members, providing expert advice, resources and tailored services to ensure they deliver exceptional care to older Australians. The Role We are seeking a suitably experienced professional to join us in a casual capacity for approximately 3 days per week, providing immediate support to our members during a period of high demand. This is a frontfacing role and will be instrumental in providing subjectmatter expertise and support to our members. The role also offers support for other Ageing Australia functions, including Policy & Advocacy, Learning and Events. Key Responsibilities Support members to effectively respond to Home & Community Care sector reforms and compliance requirements. Provide accurate support and advice to members through the provision of relevant and timely information on operational issues relating to Home & Community Care policy, programs, and practices. Provide management advice on aspects of operations such as legislative compliance; regulations and standards; accreditation and funding; quality systems and programs; staff training and education; and governance. Attend, support, and participate in Ageing Australia member engagement mechanisms and forums. Work with the Learning team to develop and deliver workshops and learning modules. Work with the Events team to support the success of Ageing Australia events by providing specialist advice on program design and delivery, including presentations and facilitation. Work with the Policy & Advocacy team to assist in the development of policies and position statements. Contribute to the development and effective management of member portfolio distribution responses, supporting high levels of member satisfaction and customer experience, and contributing to member retention. Work with the Policy & Advocacy team and State Managers to respond to Commonwealth and State/Territory policy developments. Skills & Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in a related field. At least 5 years of management, advisory or consulting experience in aged care, home & community care or seniors housing/retirement living. Knowledge of key issues relating to best practice in home & community care. Ability to translate policy/legislation into operational guidance for Ageing Australia members. Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively advise, influence, and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Good coaching, facilitation and consultancy skills and ability to influence change, particularly as an external agent.
