The household is active and warm, with a strong focus on creating a calm and positive end to the day. The children enjoy music and love reading and winding down with stories at bedtime. The Role This role centres around managing the childrens evening routine and creating a calm, structured environment as they transition to bedtime. Responsibilities include: Supporting dinner time (meals prepared by parents, just warming/serving) Assisting with bath and shower routines Coordinating bedtime across all children Reading stories and encouraging a love of books Providing calm support as children settle to sleep Bedtime routine (approximate): 2 yr old: 6:307:00 pm (requires company to settle) 5 yr old: 7:007:15 pm 8 yr old: 7:30 pm (may read independently or join story time) The children can become energetic when overtired, so maintaining a calm, steady presence is key. Household Duties Cleaning up the kitchen after dinner Tidying toys and play areas used during the shift Ideal Candidate The family is looking for someone who is: Warm, patient and highly experienced Calm and confident managing evening routines Engaging and enjoys reading with children Active and energetic, yet able to bring a settled presence at bedtime Comfortable in a family home with pets (The family has a bordoodle and a cavoodle) Requirements 3+ years previous childcare experience Drivers licence and own reliable vehicle (To get to/from work, no driving of the children required) Childcare qualifications preferred but not essential Valid Working with Children''s check Current First Aid and CPR Non Smoker This Role Would Suit A nanny who enjoys evening routines and building strong connections with children, and who can confidently guide a smooth, calm transition from busy afternoons into restful bedtimes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
