We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing Buildings Civil team in Adelaide, supporting a diverse portfolio of major projects across health, education, defence, civic, cultural and commercial sectors. Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver civil engineering design across complex builtenvironment projects, including site development, drainage, pavements and access Prepare and review civil design outputs, drawings and specifications, ensuring quality, compliance and constructability Resolve design gaps and coordinate interfaces across disciplines within multidisciplinary project teams Apply engineering judgement to address complex technical challenges on constrained sites Support and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and constructive feedback Contribute to planning and resourcing of design packages or workstreams within larger projects Engage with internal stakeholders and project teams to support positive client outcomes Promote safe, sustainable and compliant engineering design in line with industry standards Qualifications and Experience Strong experience as a civil engineer within the built environment, ideally in a consultancy environment Proven capability delivering civil design on buildingled or precinct projects rather than councilfocused planning works Experience supporting or leading components of large, complex projects Defence or defenceadjacent project experience is desirable but not essential Proficiency with standard civil engineering design software (e.g. 12D, Civil3D or similar) A collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly Confidence working across multiple stakeholders and managing priorities Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) Working toward, or eligibility for, professional engineering accreditation is advantageous Benefits Exposure to a portfolio of highprofile, technically interesting projects Technical leadership opportunities within a large, multidisciplinary team Genuine flexible working arrangements including parttime options (4 days per week considered) A supportive and inclusive culture where learning, mentoring and collaboration are encouraged A workplace recognised by the AFR as a 2026 Best Place to Work for elevating the human experience at work About Aurecon Aurecon is a leading design, engineering and advisory company working at the forefront of shaping citymaking and designled developments across Australia and NewZealand.
