Operations Technician | Ponds | Borefields SO4 is on a mission to produce worldclass Sulphate of Potash (SOP). About the role Reporting to the Ponds Supervisor, Operations Technician will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment to maintain SO4s pond infrastructure. This handson position is critical to supporting daily operations, including pump installation and maintenance, pipeline management, inspections, troubleshooting and accurate reporting, all while upholding SO4s strong safety culture. Key responsibilities Safely install, remove and repair pumps and pipe infrastructure. Conduct daily inspections of pumps, pipes and roadways. Perform scheduled and unplanned operational activities in line with work management plans. Troubleshoot faults and defects in equipment and escalating where required. Operate hand tools, power tools and mobile equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate operational records and complete all required checklists and documentation. Actively promote and participate in safety initiatives, toolbox meetings and hazard reporting. Support continuous improvement initiatives across the operations department. Enjoys handson work, thrives in a team environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards. Essential qualifications Construction White Card. Loader, IT Loader, Grader, Telehandler, Excavator, Franna and Dogman tickets. Competent operation of Wirtgen W210 Profiler or equivalent. Experience in pond or brine operations (highly regarded). Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail. Proactive, cando attitude and willingness to step up when required.
