The Opportunity Responsible for conducting pre-start checks, performing pickups and deliveries that includes loading, unloading, and securing loads per CoR requirements. This position will also include local pickups and deliveries as well as shuttling trailers back and forth from our yard in Port Adelaide to Largs North. There is the added opportunity for changeovers for those who would like to get a taste of the highway. Position is Monday to Friday, every 2nd Saturday Required. Position is full time with an average of 10-12 hours per day. Start times will alternate with one week 5am - 3:30pm and the other week 8am - 6:30pm. You will be required to conduct pre-start checks, on-road checks, engaging with suppliers and customers, maintaining all necessary documentation, and assisting with forklift duties in the yard when required. You need A MC license (unrestricted) with at least 1 year experience with dual trailers To successfully complete a pre-employment medical examination A strong knowledge of Load Restraint An excellent driving record demonstrated through a driver history report A commitment to safety and applying safe-working practices Nice to have (or willing to get) Basic Fatigue Management certification Dangerous Goods accreditation ELX will provide Consistent local work and home safe every night A minimum of 40 hours per week Plenty of overtime opportunities including occasional Saturdays A full uniform and required PPE will be provided Training and upskilling through ELX BLACK OPS Access to Automatic or Road Ranger Gearbox trucks Modern, well-maintained fleet If you want to be part of the ELX Team that prides itself on its Values: safety, loyalty, integrity, trust, teamwork, and commitment, Join now!
