The Opportunity In this role, the Senior Corporate Accountant provides advanced technical accounting expertise to support the integrity of Liontowns financial reporting and compliance obligations. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the role is accountable for delivering consolidated financial reporting, managing monthend close processes, and coordinating external audit activities. What Youll Be Doing As one of two Senior Corporate Accountants, you will be operating at an advanced professional level and apply indepth knowledge of accounting standards, taxation obligations, and financial controls to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reporting across corporate OPEX, CAPEX, and statutory requirements. The role partners closely with finance and operational teams, contributing specialist insight that supports sound financial decisionmaking across the business. Responsibilities include: Prepares consolidated financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards. Supports monthend close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations, to ensure the integrity of financial records within required timeframes. Provides specialist analysis of corporate OPEX and CAPEX variances, identifying discrepancies and developing recommendations to address material differences. Manages cashflow monitoring and treasury activities, ensuring accurate forecasting and supporting liquidity management requirements. Supports preparation of the half and fullyear financial accounts and coordination of the external audit process, ensuring audit deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule. Provides advice on tax reporting obligations, including income tax, GST, and FBT, preparing required calculations, journals, regulatory submissions, and external surveys in accordance with applicable obligations and deadlines. Contributes to costcontrol initiatives and financial analysis across operations, providing insights that support informed decisionmaking and performance improvement. Designs and improves accounting processes and procedures to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial reporting standards, and mentors less experienced finance professionals to support capability development within the team. What Were Looking For This role requires significant experience in corporate or financial accounting. With several interesting projects in the pipeline, the position extends well beyond traditional accounting duties and will suit someone who enjoys a broader scope of work including system improvements, process streamlining, and business partnering. We are looking for: Significant experience in corporate or financial accounting, preferably within a listed company or resources environment. Proven experience in financial reporting, monthend management, and external audit support. Proven experience with ERP systems; experience with SAP is highly desirable. Relevant experience applying Australian accounting standards and tax legislation, including income tax, GST, and FBT. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA, CA or CIMA professional accounting qualification. Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and pass a preemployment medical including drug and alcohol screen.
